Company Law Club Newsletter 2007/01
The Company Law Club website has at last been substantially updated and modified.
- All the topics in the company law database have been reviewed and, where necessary, updated.
- The companies legislation section has been brought up to date to end of February 2007, including links to all the legislation (including statutory instruments since 2000) on the Office of Public Sector Information (formerly HMSO) website.
- All the links have been tested and amended, as necessary.
- The Club library has now been made available without having to be registered as a member of Company Law Club.
- The site has been made simpler and more user-friendly
We appreciate that this overhaul is long overdue, and thank you for your patience. Having undertaken this comprehensive update, we hope to be able to keep the site up to date and to send out periodical updating Newsletters. This will be particularly important as the new Companies Act comes into effect.
Companies Act 2006
This very substantial overhaul of UK company law has been passed, but very little of it has yet been brought into effect. Much of the secondary legislation is subject to a consultation process, including the timetable for implementation. We will be sending out separate newsletters on aspects of the new Act in the near future.
